Connects city dwellers with farmers and locally grown food, educates public about food and farming issues, provides vital economic opportunities for farmers while building healthy communities and celebrates the heritage and bounty of agriculture in our Chesapeake Bay watershed region. Provides access to fresh, healthy food to low income households by accepting WIC, SFMNP and Food Stamps at farmers markets. At several of the producer-only FRESHFARM Markets farmers markets, a Double Dollars program is offered to low income shoppers who get free matching dollars when they use their WIC, SFMNP and Food Stamps at the markets.
