WildEarth Guardians

Forest Guardians was founded in 1989 to protect one of the last ancient forests in New Mexico, but has since transformed into one of the most powerful and effective advocates for greater environmental protection in the entire Southwest and Southern Rockies. We believe that the diversity of wildlife, plants and ecosystems, and our untrammeled wild spaces hold the key to the rehabilitation of an impoverished region whose economy and culture are inextricably tied to a healthy land.
