DonorsChoose.org is an online charity that makes it easy to help students
in our nation’s high-need public schools. At DonorsChoose.org, teachers
submit classroom project requests for materials and experiences that their
students need to learn. These requests range from “Where Did All the Pencils Go?" ($60) to
"Dictionaries for At-Home Use" ($259), to “Shhh! Science Fair Surprise For Success!” ($1,116).
Individuals can browse project
requests, give a donation of any amount, and hear back from the
classroom with photos and updates showing that their gift was spent as designated.
