Child Advocates recruits, trains and supervises Court-Appointed Special Advocates who stand up for abused and neglected children, helping them thrive and find safe, permanent homes. Most of the children served by Child Advocates have been removed from the only home they have known and placed in foster homes or institutions for their own safety. Each of the agency's highly-trained volunteers is appointed by the court to work one-on-one with an abused or neglected child, and acts as an advocate and mentor. Child Advocates is the only organization appointed by the Santa Clara County dependency court to train and supervise advocates for abused and neglected children and is one of the largest affiliates of CASA, the National Court Appointed Special Advocates program. Since its founding in 1986, 10,000 Child Advocates have served 15,000 children in Silicon Valley. Visit us at www.BeMyAdvocate.org
