I never realized the importance of global health until a friend asked me to help start out the Northeastern Chapter of GlobeMed. Begnning in 2007, we began with only a few members and small educational events. Who knew that within two years we would have solidified a partnership with a group in Thailand, increased our membership base, and collaborated with other student groups to host large scale educational events?

I will be graduating this upcoming Fall and this will be the last large scale fundraise that I participate in. I would love to reach my fundraising goal of $800 (10% of the funds needed to build the clinic).
