Please help us develop an emergency care clinic in Thailand!
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page! GlobeMed is a non-profit, student-led, national organization dedicated to ensuring global health equity. Northeastern's chapter is partnered with WarmHeart, a non-profit in Northern Thailand.
Together with WarmHeart, we are funding the development of an emergency care clinic in Phrao, Thailand. In Thailand, lack of acute care represents a major contributor to both morbidity and mortality. According to the World Health Organization, roadside accidents and lower respiratory infections are among the top ten causes of death in Thailand.
We are hoping to raise $8000 to build the clinic, purchase medications and surgical supplies, and train community health care workers. In December, several of us are planning to travel to Thailand to volunteer in our clinic.
As many of you know, equality in healthcare and securing health as a human right is something that I'm incredibly passionate about. I’m personally trying to raise $500 for our efforts. Please help me contribute to sustainable healthcare in Thailand by making a donation. It's fast, easy, and secure.
Every little bit helps!!! If 50 people each gave $10, I would easily reach my goal!
Thanks so much for your support - and please don't forget to forward this page to any friends you think might be interested.
