US Military in Congo

The Washington Post published on Sunday, February 1, 2009 that U.S. Military advisers were in Congo to back Rwandan troops in the Congo. This is the same thing that happened in 1996 when Rwanda first invaded Congo. Again, we find the United States backing a military operation in the Congo when strong diplomatic and political pressure is the preferable option by the people of the Congo who have been the victims of the militarization of their land.
