Fareed Zakaria Can Do Better

On Sunday, July 19, 2009 Fareed Zakaria interviewed, Rwandan President Paul Kagame. Mr. Zakaria could have been far more critical in the interview. The interview was more public relations than anything else. Compare Mr. Zakaria's interview with the BBC's examination of Kagame. Even with Zakaria's softball questions Kagame had a hard time explaining how he got 95 percent of the votes in the last Rwandan elections.

BBC Interview: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programmes/hardtalk/7948535.stm

After viewing the two interviews, contact Fareed and encourage him to be better prepared and maybe next time he interviews President Kagame, he can ask one simple question about the U.S. ally’s destabilization efforts in the Congo, which the United Nations says is the deadliest conflict in the World since World War Two: http://www.cnn.com/feedback/forms/form4.html?126

Also, ask Mr. Zakaria' why he only has books on his site that lauds Mr. Kagame. Recommend that he presents a more balanced option for his audience by including works such as Gerard Prunier's "Africa's World War."
