It is bad enough that the meat industry abuses the cattle, pigs and chickens that it slaughters to sell to the public. Now, President Obama has signed a Bill legalizing the slaughter of horses, which in turn will add them to the mix of abuse and cruelty. This Bill has made the job that much more difficult for those of us who oppose meat industry standards. Not to mention the fact that this country has no shortage of meat. So why would this Bill even be considered?  Please sign and support the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act (HR 2966/S 1176).
