Remove the 2009 Payroll Tax Reduction! This is going to cause more difficulty for those whom are unable to pay their taxes due at the end of the tax season – And they don’t realize it yet.  This will most likely cause an all time low record of individual tax return filings due to fear and inability to pay by the general public.

Businesses are able to deduct all expenses: rent, utilities, supplies, parties, meals and food items (to an extent), travel, education, etc.  These are all considered “Business Expenses”. 

Let’s level the playing field and give the American People similar ALLOWABLE DEDUCTIONS for “Personal Living Expenses” on their income taxes as well.  The American People need to be able to claim rent/mortgage (not just the interest), utilities, auto expenses, supplies, food (to an extent), travel, education, daycare, etc.  Same as Businesses do. 

I feel that if the Payroll Tax Reduction reverted back to the pervious  withholding, then the American People whom have never paid in will not be forced to pay in or commit tax fraud or evasion when it’s time to file their 2009 tax returns . I also believe that if you allow the American People to choose between a Standard Deduction (which we have now) and an itemized Deduction which encompasses their actual living expenses (not the expenses the government decides is deductible) we will see a much higher rate of tax filings, more educational expenses, as well as more home and auto loans in the United States. 

This could be the answer to stimulating the economy in a more productive manner – instead of just throwing more newly printed money at the situation which is loosing monetary value with each fictitious printing. This will also put more money back into the government through out the year through employer tax withholding payments and the tax returns received may actually go toward loan down payments and additional education. Which will then, stimulate the economy further.

So please, let’s UNITE OUR STATES AND OUR COUNTRY, show the American People that our government IS trying to help.  REMOVE the 2009 Payroll Tax Reduction and MODIFY the Individual Itemized Personal Deductions to LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD!
