HELP ZAMBIAN CHILDREN PREPARE FOR WINTER
Help Zambian Children Prepare for Winter
A Message from Shira Rohde, the Founder of the Flip Flop Foundation
Thank you for joining the Flip Flop Foundation (FFF) on change.org. Just by joining, you are already supporting the FFF. The mission of the FFF is to improve the health, hygiene, education, and well-being of disadvantaged Zambian children. We implement our mission through (1) the provision of basic necessities, including footwear, clothing, food, school supplies, hygiene supplies, mosquito nets, blankets, sporting equipment, and toys; (2) the support of organizations that educate and enrich the community through dance, drama and sports; and (3) the support of organizations engaged in skills training for children and young adults. Through a coordinated effort by our local team and implementing partners in Zambia, our Board of Directors and supporters in the U.S., and donors like you, we have grown tremendously since our formation in 2006. We are currently supporting 36 community schools, orphanages, community-based and sports-based organizations, hospices, and refugee camps in Zambia.
In Zambia, the heart of the winter is June through August, and the nights do get cold! Our goal is to raise $2000 between Mar 9 and April 20. If we meet this goal, I will match it with my own $2000 donation. With $4000, we can buy blankets for 1000 children. Please don't think that any donation is too small, as all contributions are greatly appreciated. As a public charity under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, your donation is tax-deductible. Thank you!

- All children deserve to have the necessities in life. tha ability to go school in some countries depends on whether or not a child will have a uniform, pencils, books, etc. Let's see that they do.

"We can choose to use our lives for others to bring about a better and more just world for our children. People who make that choice will know hardship and sacrifice. But if you give yourself totally to the non-violent struggle for peace and justice you also find that people give you their hearts and you will never go hungry and never be alone. And in giving of yourself you will discover a whole new life full of meaning and love."
