My Barefoot Challenge
Published April 26, 2009 @ 07:59AM PT
We can all learn from Bilaal Rajan's Barefoot Challenge. The 12 year old activist spent 7 days from 4/19 to 4/25 without shoes to understand what millions of children in the world cope with every day.
Helping Zambian orphans to overcome this plight is one of the main reasons that Flip Flop Foundation was formed. The attached photo shows Zambian youths getting ready for a soccer match. Flip Flop Foundation was able to provide the pinnies and shirts but as you can see, most of them are still without shoes.
Please take a minute to read the above article and also to spread the word about Flip Flop Foundation so that we can help children overcome their own barefoot challenges.
