URGENT! HELP STOP POLICE BRUTALITY VICTIM'S DEPORTATION SET ON FEB 16TH!

The Issue

Loving brother and son, Jose Eduardo Aguilar-Trejo (A#205076807), also know as Lalo, was brought into the U.S. at the age of 10-years old, a determined youth who dreams of using the arts, specifically film, to teach and raise awareness of the Latino suffrage. He is a DREAMer and die-heart advocator for education and immigration rights, who holds the motivation, compassion, and willingness to help bring justice to the oppressed community.

A former student of Utah Valley University, he currently enrolled in Salt Lake Community College with hopes to continue his education in the Spring semester of 2012. An active member of the Salt Lake Dream Team, Lalo found himself at the wrong place and at the wrong time, leading him to an UNJUST police incident that landed him with a badly bruised and swollen face and shoulder. Investigation was avoided by the justice system. Video footage was erased by the Bostan Buildings security.

Now our transcending DREAM Act eligible respected student is detained in jail and WILL BE DEPORTED ON FEBRUARY 16, 2012! A victim of domestic violence, Lalo has been in the psychiatric ward because of the mistreatment by employees in Immigration & Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Spanish Fork, Utah detention center.

If Lalo is deported to his hometown, Juarez, Mexico, his life will be in danger!

Please take few seconds out of your day to SIGN the petition requesting he receives discretionary relief. You can make the difference for this unjustly suffering young man with a future. All that is needed is your signature TO GET LALO BACK TO HIS FAMILY!

Salt Lake Dream Team END CampaignPetition StarterAll over the country the youth have stood up against oppression and injustice. Everyone must pick a battle to fight and as dreamers and allies we have organized in order to let our voices be heard. Our undocumented brothers and sisters are under attack. This is where we come in. The Salt Lake Dream Team (SLDT) is a not-for-profit organization made up of undocumented youth and allies who are dedicated to helping out the undocumented community here in Salt Lake City and all over Utah. Our main priority is to assist the passage of the DREAM Act; however, we take on several other projects. For example, our organization is involved with providing information and counseling to families who are experiencing deportation, assist Dreamers with college applications and other higher educational options, host educational immigrant rights workshops, and speak at panels and lectures. Lastly, we understand life's challenges as an undocumented immigrant, so we want to help along with our allies.
