Tell Governor Crist to Keep Commitment to 30 Elderly/Disabled CLC Graduates
Tell Governor Crist to Keep Commitment to 30 Elderly/Disabled CLC Graduates
The Issue
This is a Real Live Story about 30+ Elderly/Disabled Americans who have worked very hard for the past 16 weeks to learn to appropriately use new technology(Personal Computer) Wide-World's Greatest Communications Tool, happily and patiently...earning their 1st Personal Computer. These senior/disabled Americans were told /assured by Florida's Governor's Appointed Representative(Director of Department of Management), that each of them would receive and have before or by graduation day, their very first Personal Computer...Now, approximately, 2 short weeks, away from Graduation Day, 2009, for over 30 continuing elderly and disabled, (all students range from 60-85 years old), the volunteer, disabled instructor was told that there will be only 15 personal computers, "set aside by the HR Commission", who, I just found out per telephone call, a few days ago, exists and have the right to decide, not to give these "hard working, sincere senior/disabled humanitarian Americans", their earned personal computers, used by Florida State Department(Information Technology Department), specifically, that are now, not being used at all. Watch the elderly and disabled in action class on http://actiog.ning.com... I'll get to the point.
