Rethink the Perth Waterfront Development

Rethink the Perth Waterfront Development

The issue

The proposed Waterfront Development plan:
Cuts off the smooth flow of Riverside Drive, a major east west connector and tourist drive, with serious impacts on traffic congestion in and around the CBD, throughout South Perth and the broader metropolitan region;
Does not recognize, protect or enhance the cultural and heritage values of the important Esplanade Reserve, and associated sites and buildings;
Will disrupt city businesses and tourism due to the length of the construction process (between 10 and 20 years)
Will have a negative impact on the Swan River, through the construction of a small inlet; and
Will cost in excess of $440 million of taxpayers money.

Express your frustration and concern.

A rally will be held on 26 February at 11am on the Esplanade.  Remember to sign the real, parliamentary petition either then or download it from the website - http://citygatekeepers.com.au/how-you-can-help/
