A single oil spill could be catastrophic to species in the Keystone XL Pipeline's path--including the highly endangered whooping crane, of which there are less than 400 left in the wild. It would impact habitats of the bald eagle and the endangered American Burying beetle and disrupt the migratory patterns of birds through the destruction of hundreds of acres of wetlands.
