Ottawa, Canada already has a service that parent's and guardians can register their autistic child/ren with the local police department. This service is to provide the local police department information about the parent and guardians autistic child or children. I think that the United States should start this service as well, not only for autistic children, but for all special needs children, teens, and adults. This would provide the local police department information about your child or children, in case they ran away, wandered, or was abducted. I understand and know that there are kits, medical ID bracelets and necklaces for this, but I also think that with families being able to register their child or children with their local police department, that it would give that added security that it would help in finding their missing child or children.
