Inspire upon Al Gore and his likes to run for Secretary-General of the United Nations Systems

The Issue

Inspire upon Al Gore and his likes to run for Secretary-General of the United Nations Systems and similar world bodies, and put more teeth to their mandates for the environment

If the former 45th US Vice President Albert Arnold 'Al' Gore Jr cannot, for some reasons, become US President, in 2012 or 2016 or beyond, he ought to seriously consider running for Secretary-General of the United Nations Systems or similar world bodies with more teeth to uphold and protect and implement their mandates for ecology and the environment, or what is left for us, and for the next generations.

Nobel Peace Prize laureate Al Gore was so effective and impactful before and after his popularization of the "Inconvenient Truth" documentary around the world so that people may take a quick second look at how we deplete what is left of the environment and do something about the problems quickly (or AS SOON AS PANIC, as I always put it more aptly in my writings, if not) faster than the speed of light. 

Given the authority, influence and powers of the UN to make things happen in order to cushion the impact of (if not stop) global warming and other man-instigated natural calamities and disasters, Al Gore or the likes of Al Gore as UN chief in 2009, 2010 or onwards can do so much alternatives and solutions to the problems faster than the speed of thought. He or his likes will surely command respect to take radical (not just reformative) action even as others talk, hope, dream or aspire.

In The Philippines, where the last living founding signatory to the UN Charter of 1945 (General Carlos P Romulo) had lived and reigned (until the '80s), an activist by the name of Regina Paz Lopez, or Gina Lopez, resembles that of Al Gore's statesmanship in caring for the environment. Former Philippine President Cory Aquino is another woman for the job of a man. So with her daughter, Kris Aquino. The list goes on...     

But there are more like Al Gore and Gina Lopez and Cory Aquino or Kris Aquino..

Ordinary people, real people anywhere in the world can aspire to be and become the next Al Gore, Gina Lopez et al in leading the light in order to Save Mother Earth so that our loved ones may live.
