The Ellensburg Downtown Association is excited about all the great downtown events coming up this holiday season. Please help us spread the word about these upcoming downtown holiday events. Raw Space Grand Opening Nov 6&7 in Downtown Ellensburg

Raw Space, Central Washington’s newest performance venue and Downtown Ellensburg’s newest business will celebrate their grand opening on November 6th and 7th with two day celebration of local musicians. November 6th performances will include Andrea Wittgens, Lenny Price , Better Day, and Skinny People Kissing. Followed by performances on November 7th by Open Country Joy, Star Anna and The Laughing Dogs, Mark Pickerel, Gin Betty!, Red Means Go, and Sarlacc. Despite the recession, downtown Ellensburg still going strong. Downtown’s two newest businesses opened in September bringing the total to 13 new businesses in our downtown for 2009. Another 4 new businesses including Raw Space, Bertine’s, Udderly Local, and Organic Art are scheduled to open in October. New Economic Development plan for Kittitas County, WA includes several strategy recommendations that could be of great benefit to Downtown Ellensburg including: “Investigate feasibility of a downtown incubator for professional services firms. The creation of an incubator could serve as a catalyst for the growth of professional services in the region. The incubator should be aligned with tCentral Washington University’s areas of expertise – including accounting, geotechnical services, and geographic information systems – and the needs of local business.
