Donations support the Drug Policy Alliance's work to end the war on drugs. We advocate a drug policy based on science, compassion, health and human rights.
We work on harm reduction intitatives, like New Jersey's syringe exchange program; increase access to medical marijuana, like in New Mexico, which became the 12th state to protect patients' rights in the spring of 2007; build coaltions working for sensible drug policies, like in New York with Real Reform, a campaign to repeal the draconian Rockefeller Drug Laws; in California, we support what could become the most sweeping prison reform in decades, a nonviolent offender rehabilitation ballot initiative known as Proposition 5.
