Friends, // You heard the idea of the PAIX shirt and you responded. You believed in the idea to empower children of war in the Congo to be messengers of peace and you bought a PAIX shirt. You wear the wing of peace pointing to the right. // This July, children of war will complete the wingspan of peace, wearing for the first time a wing that points to the left. The message will take flight - in Congo, from the ground up. In mid-July, we arrive in Goma, the epicenter of the conflict in the North Kivu Province of DR Congo to deliver the first round of shirts to 200 children of war. // Because of your help, 130 shirts have been sold. A Day of Art and Peace will be organized by local Congolese leaders and 200 children will begin wearing the shirts in their communities - communities that have been torn apart by war. // But we still need your help to complete our mission. We are asking you first because we already know you believe in this idea... // THERE ARE 3 THINGS YOU CAN DO RIGHT NOW // 1. Buy another shirt, or ask at least 1 or 2 of your friends to buy a PAIX shirt today! Call them, text them, email them, visit them. We are bringing 200 shirts to Congo regardless, but we still have 70 shirts to sell before we leave to ensure that each shirt worn by a child of war in the Congo is matched by an advocate of their peace around the world.
