Think Globally and and Act Locally to Create A Better World
We are living in critical times in our world where the compounding effect of environment and societal issues demand an immediate and effective response. A Better World is about creating an accelerating and rippling effect of positive change. Inherent in our model for creating sustainable change is the belief that we all have the ability to contribute and make our unique mark towards a better world.
A Better World hopes you will join us in our commitment to both think and act on local and global levels. We are a global community that becomes more connected on a daily basis. Our actions on a local level trickle throughout the globe, and we hope you will consider that concept on a daily basis. By being conscious of the global community, and acting accordingly, we can create a better world.
This is an ongoing pledge that should be fulfilled as often as possible.

It is important for me to make this pledge because it feels soooooo good to finally be a part of something that just might get great results but we have to jump higher, dig deeper, dream bigger, and continue to fight the good fight. The battle has always been good vs evil. I just wanna be a help and an example globally.....thats my only African-American Pride!

it's all true we need to pick ourselves up dust ourselves off and do something, everyone can't do everything but everyone can do something. We can help in our local schools (even if we don't have kids who attend that school), we can pick-up trash on our street, we can even join change.org.....it all starts with the man in the mirror.....and that's me.....

Prosperity is not in what you have attained, but rather in what you give away.....For it is only when you become empty that you can be filled with something greater.(Daniel Leven). Lets give away our love, our education, our understanding, and compassion to be filled with love, education, understanding, and compassion. Cari

This has been our motto since the late 80s when we organized the AZ Greens then went on to work nationally for socially responsible, environmentally sustainable, peace, and justice issues.
12 years ago my husband and I ran the Medical Cannabis Advocates of Key West medical marijuana buyers club. And today even though my husband is a marijuana prisoner, I continue to take a major role to work with others for a FL Medical Marijuana Initiative to change the law.
I have in mind to take action to get the airplane a.k.a. spider plants that asorb carbon monoxide onto Duval ST in downtown Key West. I work selling my political buttons and bumper stickers on the street and am very sensitive to the exhaust fumes. This could be greatly improved by getting the city and the business owners to support growing this plant that has been use in auto repair shops to clean the air.
