Donations to the General Fund support the construction of community education centers, fundraising and administrative expenses.
Community Education Centers
CORAfrica's core goal of education extends beyond simply building traditional schools. Our new locations will be "Community Educational Centers." They will serve as an important part of the community and leverage community talents and knowledge toward the education of young people. Each center will include a primary and secondary school with room for residential students, a health clinic and health education facility, a community well providing clean drinking water, a library with internet access, a micro financing institution to support socially-responsible entrepreneurial efforts within the village (especially for women), and an agricultural station.
CORAfrica will work directly with the Catholic diocese of Ogoja, Nigeria in improving already existing schools within rural villages. Our working vacations will also allow volunteers to help build each center from the ground up.
