According to surveys over 1.5 million Iraqis are refugees in neighbouring countries. the problem is with the way they are treated in these countries. They left their homes and everything behind and they still can't have basic living. Is this the freedom they brought the Iraqi people??
I want to find a way to help these refugees. I want to help those children go to school again, I want to stop young girls from prostituting in order to survive. I may not have the means to do that but I want to start somewhere.
Helping to alleviate suffering in any small way

The people of Iraq have suffered tremendously. They have gone from being a first-world country which was by all measures among the greatest in the region to being subjected to 30 + years of cruel tyranny. Throughout the 1980s, millions of Iraqis lost relatives in a pointless, brutal war. Many Shia and Kurds suffered TERRIBLE injustices after the uprising in 1991. Then, the Iraqis had to deal with the sanctions regime, followed by war and internecine violence. Although some parts of Iraq have come along tremendously since 2003 (notably Kurdistan and certain southern provinces), there are still miles to go. Whatever you think of the war, of Bush, or of the military, just remember that the one truly callous act we could commit now would be to abandon the people of Iraq again.
The Iraq War is a Crime Against Humanity

The Iraqi people did nothing to deserve the hell and genocide they are going through at the hands of the U.S. occupation of their country. We must all stand up for truth, justice and peace in the world.
The best way to show your disdain for the War in Iraq is to support the displaced refugees and those affected by this cruel, unjust and inhuman war of aggression.
2 million refugees and growing

The displacement of Iraqis from Iraq is now the fastest-growing refugee crisis in the world. The UN estimates that 2.3 million Iraqis have fled violence in their country; 1.8 million have fled to surrounding countries, while some 500,000 have vacated their homes for safer areas within Iraq. Although the United States and its allies sparked the current chaos in Iraq, we are doing little to ease the humanitarian crisis caused by the current exodus. These people need our help.
Go to http://www.refugeesinternational.org/section/actnow/ and click on the link to send President Bush an email urging him to increase US support to the UN Refugee Agency so that it can meet the needs of Iraqi refugees and to ensure the US has the resources to
resettle especially vulnerable people from Iraq, particularly refugees who had to flee because they worked for Americans, including U.S. government, military, contractor and nonprofit organizations.
