We need to cure HIV/AIDS. This is a disease that has disproportionately killed millions in Africa, Asia and more and more in Eastern Europe, destroying families, whole villiages, even societies. While we have suffered losses due to this disease in the Western world, our drugs and healthcare systems have lead to advances in helping people live longer. However, the human and economic costs, as well as the politicial costs as the AIDS generation grows up, is and will continue to be devestating. We must find a cure, not a stop loss.
