Corporations can make positive changes

from Chris M.  Vline2  May 28, 2007

Corporations know we can vote with our dollars and they'll do what we want, because they don't want to lose our business. They can also get some nice (and free) publicity from good deeds, as well as, more business from conscious shoppers.

It's a win-win (Corporate-speak. Hey, when in Rome?).

Supporting Home Grown Business'

from Jaimi C.  Vline2  Mar 16, 2007

We are far from rich...
We have bills, a motgage, a child, and I'm a student...needless to say money is almost always tight. I always need to save a buck or two, but I do by forming relationships with the local grocers in my neighbourhood, and around the city. I do it with bartering at the farmers markets every week-end for fruit, vegetables, meat (not for me...my husband and daughter are the carnivores) and baked goods.
We're not liberal rich snobs...we just feel it's important to support our local economy. I feel it's important to challenge corporate power, because corporations only care about turning a profit, they think nothing of our families and communities.
