- We launched our video challenge Oil2Wind on YouTube and Change.org with a deadline for new submission after the 22nd of April/Earth Day 2008... We now find out that there is a looming shortage, caused by citizens who are waking up to the price of wheat being higher than the OZ of gold, which used to be the Hedge against inflation... So here we go with a new video challenge we are calling Wind2Wheat. We are going to the energy and video sites, to invite the wind companies to allow their neighbors to grow wheat on their wind farms. Here in Tehachapi, CA/US, the wind farms use native grasses to reduce soil erosion; well as the gold investor who asked me where do mormons buy their wheat...cause we "can't feed the gold" to our starving children! Oil2Wind and Wind2Wheat at Change.org
I have dedicated the past 20 years to sharing the message of Christ through open discussions on Creative Solutions to current obstacles and lack of resources for connecting the disciples of Jesus to other people, who are seeking and not finding answers; either because they are looking in the wrong places, or because of a failure on our part to communicate our faith with people who are governed by fear of the future/present or apathy towards the eternal view of things and events.
I spent over eleven years working for the Ca. Dept of Corrections, and saw and heard much, while learning how to communicate a message of hope to those who considered that there was no reason for hope or faith...
I now apply what I learned at the prison facilities to my efforts to connect to people where they live, by developing relationships with experienced contractors, who become mentors/coaches to a generation XX or XXX; reaching out with videos of energy projects, made by students for the energy contractors.
