Be the one who spreads hope

In times of calamity, trouble, loss we should not lose hope. When there is someone near who can help you spiritually, who can give you hope by caring, by a little help, by giving a hand, we gain strength and overcome hardship.

Why don't we become the ones who spread hope?

God said Hope, I said Nope
Oh God, they are all divided and at war

God said Hope, I said Nope
Oh God, from any signs of peace, they are yet too far

God said Hope, I said Nope
Then paused, and said -
But God, now that You say so, I will explore outside
He said, Nay explore inside
Outside is for outsiders who stand outside the solutions
Inside is for insiders who stand inside the resolutions

God said Hope
I said, I will Cope
I will search, I will find
That darkness of Nope I will with the light of Hope unbind

Look, He said, a ray shines in your heart !
God Almighty ! I exclaimed ! It shows that You and me are not far apart !
I see I must never lose Faith, Mercy and Hope !
Now I know what this means - When I have Nothing, thats the only way to Cope !

When all seems lost
And we think we are paying the price as well as the cost
We must rely on the spark within
Within our hearts we must our deepest spiritual resources accost

In us when we find the strength to raise a voice
In us when we find the strength to make the choice
Then shall the light light up and show the way
Then shall the dark recede to the shadows in a trice

God said - Good boy !
You know the heart of the matter then
He who leads knows and shows and also goes - thataway - only then he grows !
When you don't balk, when you walk what you talk -

- Start alone
And others will join
- Hope alone
And others will align
- Act alone
And the way for others you will define

Nay despair not
God has promised and delivered before
When the darkest night seems to come to the fore
And the ship seems storm-tossed and way away from the invisible shore
Give ear to the winds and know
The ship has a prow which cuts the waves
The sail has a spread which drinks the storms
The wheel has handles to hold
The heart has hope which makes you bold

Damn the storm
Full speed ahead !
Just when it seems the storm will have you helpless and crying -
Hope will keep you unreasonably stubbornly trying -
By hope you will be led !

Hope will make you bold !
Though the wheel twists and fights - hope will strengthen your hold !

Hope will make you see !
Even when you are bound in prison - hope will shout 'You are free !'

Hope will make you weep !
Tears of determination will flow - hope will stir you deep !

Hope will show the way !
When all are afraid and trembling -
Hope will make you smile
You'll take a look at the storm, awhile,
You'll grasp the wheel
You'll navigate by feel
And then
Hope will make you say - 

Hey !
Folks !
The port is round the corner - Everythings gonna be Ohhh-kkkkaayyyyy !

The most commonly used descriptive word that I can think of when describing the lowest point an individual or community may face is "hopeless". Without hope, we have nothing and with hope we have everything. It's the foundation of change.
