Do we ethically & morally have to really ask, "WHY"?
WRONG FROM ALL PERSPECTIVES!

This is a morally wrong situation no matter how you slice it. How many times through history are we to put up with such violence; to watch as others are mass murdered, raped as their lands are burned and ravaged?
Over and over again?
For too long we have stayed in our homes, not paying attention to the "outside" world, stuck within the comforts of our own worlds we don't have a clue OR simply put could care less as long as we are not affected.
STOP THE LIES, KILLING AND OTHER HORRIBLE AUTROCITIES THAT ARE PLAGUING HUMAN KIND!
Genocide is Evil

Ever since I read the book "The Diary of Anne Frank" and watched a documentary called "The Memory of the Camps" on PBS I have struggled to understand what could make a human being so emotionally detached from other humans that they would see nothing wrong with the systematic murder of others, regardless of their "reason" for doing so. What amazes me even more is seeing this scenario repeat itself over and over again throughout the world. I believe that we are not born with hate in our hearts but that this type of behavior has to be learned or taught. Charity truly begins at home and if we are not taught from childhood that all humans are equal, regardless of class, sex, income or social status, then maybe this leads to a feeling of superiority which mcould be a false justification of this kind of behavior. We are all God's treasures so when will we learn to live and coexist peacefully?

The Genocide Intervention Network envisions a world in which the global community is willing and able to protect civilians from genocide and mass atrocities. Our mission is to empower individuals and communities with the tools to prevent and stop genocide.
The international community must recognize their “Responsibility to Protect” civilians threatened by mass atrocities when their own governments are unwilling or unable to prevent such violence.
In response to a question as to why the government was not doing more about Rwanda, a White House adviser said simply, "you must make more noise."
Samantha Power, author of "A Problem from Hell: America and the Age of Genocide," argues that the United States has not chosen inaction in the face of genocide because there was nothing it could do -- but because no one asked the government to do anything. Quite simply, there was no political will for action.
We aim to prevent the first permanent anti-genocide constituency.
