The Official Sponsor of Birthdays. Together with our millions of supporters, the American Cancer Society saves lives and creates more birthdays by helping people stay well and get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back.

Stay Well: We educate and empower people to help them prevent cancer.
Get Well: We help patients and their caregivers make decisions and overcome obstacles in their personal fight.
Find Cures: We fund groundbreaking research that discovers cancer's causes and cures.
Fight Back: We help pass laws that defeat cancer and rally communities to join the fight.

Cancer Survivor's Network - A free support network on the Web, created by and for cancer survivors and their loved ones. You can browse moderated discussions and connect with others like you via personal homepages, chats, personal stories, talk shows, and more.

I Can Cope - I Can Cope is an educational program for people facing cancer, either personally or as a caregiver. The program offers reliable information, peer support, and practical coping skills.

Road to Recovery - Road to Recovery provides rides to and from treatment for people with cancer who do not have a ride or are unable to drive themselves.

History

The American Cancer Society combines an unyielding passion with nearly a century of experience to save lives and end suffering from cancer. We save lives by helping people stay well by preventing cancer or detecting it early; helping people get well by being there for them during and after a cancer diagnosis; by finding cures through investment in groundbreaking discovery; and by fighting back by rallying lawmakers to pass laws to defeat cancer and by rallying communities worldwide to join the fight.

As the nation's largest non-governmental investor in cancer research, contributing more than $3.4billion, we turn what we know about cancer into what we do.
