Mission
Best Friends is working with you -- and with humane groups all across the country -- to bring about a time when there are No More Homeless Pets.
The sanctuary, at the heart of Southern Utah's Golden Circle of national parks, is home, on any given day, to about 1,500 dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, birds and other animals.
Best Friends reaches across the nation, helping humane groups, individual people, and entire communities to set up spay/neuter, shelter, foster, and adoption programs in their own neighborhoods, cities, and states.
Programs
The sanctuary provies care to over 1,500 animals on any given day. Many of these animals are deemed unadoptable at most shelters. We provide a 3,000 acre sanctuary in southern Utah until they find forever homes.
Our grassroots online community the Best Friends Network, works on connecting people through kindness to animals. Communities can be created as your voice and include blogs, forums and resources. Online discussion include topics such as Breed Specific Legislation, Ending Puppy Mills, Rapid Response Animal Rescue and logistically planning the transport of animals to name a few. While others may tell you how to end animal cruelty, it is part of the Best Friends mission to show you using best practices and successful model programs and projects that work.
