More than half of all people will have a sexually transmitted infection (once referred to as venereal disease, or "VD") at some point in their lifetime. Every year, there are at least 19 million new cases of sexually transmitted infections among men and women of all ages, races, and backgrounds. "VD" can affect everybody, and prevention is the key.
