American Composers Forum

SPARK Festival Commission Project

The American Composers Forum is partnering with the University of Minnesota to present the SPARK FESTIVAL of Electronic Music and Arts.  For one week each year, the Spark Festival gathers creators and performers of new media arts from around the world to the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul to showcase their work to the public.

This year, the American Composers Forum is launching its first ever Electronic Music Commission.  The commission will be awarded to the Spark performer who receives the most votes through the Forum's website and MySpace page.  This Commission campaign marks a shift in the Forum’s efforts in the field of electronic music.  It demonstrates both the Forum’s dedication to cultivating community support for electronic music and the Forum’s commitment to engaging its audience in a more participatory role in the creation of new music.

Help the American Composers Forum advance the field of Electronic Music through our new community commissioning program.  Show your support by donating to the Spark Festival Commissioning Project!  And, visit http://www.composersforum.org/ and www.MySpace.com/AmericanComposersForum during the SPARK Festival February 17-22, 2009 to vote for your favorite performances!

VOTING IS NOW OPEN:  TO CAST YOUR VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE PERFORMANCE:
