Help Save Dale Farm

Dale Farm is located in the district of Basildon in southeast England. Four hundred travelers reside in the area, but since 2000 they have been denied permission to plan on their land by the local Basildon Council, siting that DF lies in the "Green Belt," an area of land around London that is protected from development. If the High Court rules against them, they could all be evicted from their homes.

End the threat of eviction at the Dale Farm Travellers community in the UK

After three years of advocating with the Advocacy Project against the threat of eviction, the Travellers of Dale Farm achieved a rousing success in 2008, when the British High Court accepted their argument and allowed them to stay on their land.

This decision is being appealed by the vengeful local council, but AP and the Dale Farm community are moving ahead with a constructive agenda to equip the new Community Center and to train Traveller children in the use of ICT.
