End Caste Discrimination in Nepal
Caste discrimination continues to blight the lives of Nepal’s Dalits. The Jagaran Media Center (JMC), an AP partner, is using its national network of Dalit journalists to expose discrimination in the villages of Nepal. Since the beginning of the partnership, AP has used its Peace Fellows to help organize and train the reporters.
In 2009, AP will disseminate their material internationally through the JMC e-bulletin and radio, and work with the Nepali diaspora in the US, Canada, and Europe to lobby for the JMC’s agenda in Nepal.
