The Advocacy Project works to strengthen the capacity of human rights organizations to produce, use and disseminate their information effectively.

The Advocacy Project supports partners who work for social justice and human rights at the community level. AP does this by:-
* Highlighting human rights abuses and concerns on behalf of partners
* Sending interns to work with partners in the popular "Fellows For Peace" program
* Training partners on their information needs
* Carrying out advocacy and outreach campaigns to raise awareness for partners

Srebrenica Memorial Quilt:
AP and the women of BOSFAM, the Bosnian women's group, launched the Srebrenica Memorial Quilt, in commemoration of the more than 8,000 men and boys that were killed in the 1995 Srebrenica massacre.  The quilt contains 20 panels, all hand woven by BOSFAM weavers who lost relatives in the massacre. Each panel commemorates a victim. You can help by commissioning a panel in the quilt or signing the petition to arrest the alleged perpetrators of the Srebrenica massacre.

Surviving Conflict in Africa
The Survivor Corps (formerly the Landmine Survivors Network) and The Advocacy Project have joined forces to launch an ambitious program to support people who have been damaged by conflict in Central Africa but are determined to rebuild their lives. The goal of the program is to show survivors that they are not alone, and that they can rise above their trauma by working together and giving back to their communities.

The Uterine Prolapse Alliance
The Uterine Prolapse Alliance (UPA) along with The Advocacy Project have developed an initiative which aims to provide treament, support prevention efforts, increase awareness, and to increase international and national support of the human rights issues surounding uterine prolapse.

The Undugu Society of Kenya (USK) 
The USK helps street children, vulnerable youth and marginalized poor urban and rural communities get out of poverty and acquire decent livelihoods.

The World Peasants/Indigenous Foundation (WPIO)
The World Peasants/ Indigenous Foundation's (WPIO) mission is to stop discrimination against pygmies and resource exploitation on their lands.

Arche d'Alliance
The mission of Arche d’Alliance is to promote peace and defend human rights. The NGO was formed in 1997 in response to the numerous human rights violations in South Kivu after the war in the DRC (1996-2003), which led to widespread human rights abuses and societal breakdown.

Afghan Women's Network (AWN)
The AWN is working to empower Afghan women and ensure their equal participation in Afghan society.

Collective Campaign for Peace (COCAP)
COCAP promotes human rights and justice in Nepal by mobilizing civil society networks to work towards conflict transformation and peace building. Please visit their Radio Balgung page for more information about their new radio program.

eHomemakers

Home for Human Rights (HHR)
HHR documents human rights violations and provides legal and medical aid to victims of abuse resulting from the civil conflict.

Jagaran Media Center (JMC)
The JMC seeks to spotlight ongoing abuses against the Dalit.  The JMC creates awareness amongst Dalits and non-Dalits about caste-based discrimination and seeks an end to caste based discrimination.

Oruj Learning Center
Oruj Learning Center is providing an education for over 1,200 young girls in remote regions of  Afghanistan.

Chintan Environmental Research and Action Group
Chintan’s mission is to facilitate the participation of citizens in the empowerment of their communities and to advocate for local and national policies that ensure social equity and environmental safeguarding.

The Blind Employment and Rehabilitation Development Organization (BERDO)
The mission of BERDO is to empower people with disabilities, to increase public awareness about disability issues, facilitate partnership between disabled and non-disabled members of the community and to prevent disability through medical treatment.

Bosfam
Bosfam is a Bosnian women’s group that supports displaced and refugee women in Eastern Bosnia. Bosfam’s centers offer a refuge to women who lost husbands, sons, fathers and brothers in the Srebrenica massacre of 1995.  Please read more about the memorial quilt campaign that AP is launching with Bosfam.  

Dženo Sdruženì (The Dženo Association)
Dženo Association is an independent Roma media news and information service. Their web site posts and disseminates news about issues concerning the Roma in Eastern Europe and also streams a Roma radio station, Radio Rota.

International Roma Women’s Network (IRWN)
The IRWN is the first group to bring together Roma women’s groups from Eastern and Western Europe. Together, they lobby governments for the rights of Roma women and work to increase the visibility of Roma culture.

Kosova Women's Network (KWN)
The KWN's mission is to support, protect and promote the rights and the interests of women and girls throughout Kosovo.

Women in Black Network from Serbia (WiB)
Women in Black's mission is to make visible nonviolent resistance to militarism, war, sexism, and nationalism in Serbia.

Dale Farm Housing Association
Dale Farm Housing Association is working to obtain planning permits for the 52 yards (home of 86 families) at the community of Travellers at Dale Farm which at present remain "unauthorised."

ADIVIMA
ADIVIMA is working to find solutions to the social, economic, political, cultural, and educational problems caused by the 36 year internal conflict in Guatemala. Read more about their work on the ADIVIMA project page.

EPAF
EPAF uses forensic anthropology to look for people who were forcibly disappeared during Peru’s civil conflict from 1982 to 2000. EPAF does this by participating in legal procedures (as defense or expert witnesses) and as field experts conducting exhumations of physical remains. SKIP helps disadvantaged children realize their right to an education.

Cemujer
Cemujer is an internationally and nationally recognized feminist organization that contributes to the strengthening of the human rights of women, children, and adolescents though the insitution of effective programs, the defense and promotion of the public, the prevention of gender violence, training and empowerment.

Alternative Information Center (AIC)
The AIC is a joint Palestinian-Israeli organization which works to promote cooperation between Palestinians and Israelis based on the values of social and political justice, equality, solidarity, community involvement and respect for the human rights of the Palestinian people.

Democracy and Worker's Rights Center in Palestine
DWRC equips and mobilizes the Palestinian labor force to actively participate in building a democratic society and to promote and defend the rights of Palestinian workers.

Women's Affairs Technical Committee
WATC seeks to eliminate all forms of discrimination against women, to develop the role of women in society, and to empower women to assume decision-making positions.
