On October 1st, Somerville, MA is changing to all residential permit parking. The problem with this is that houses are granted only two visitor permits, and these visitors may only be parked two days of the week. This greatly limits the social lives of residents. Not all houses are T accessible, and many people enjoy the company of more than one visitor at a time, especially if they live in a house of multiple residents.
