UNESCO is the United Nations’ specialized agency for education. Since its creation in 1945, the Organization has worked to improve education worldwide. Its close links with education ministries and other partners in 193 countries put it in a key position to press for action.
The mission of the UNESCO Education Sector is to:
-Provide international leadership for creating learning societies with educational opportunities for all populations;
-Provide expertise and foster partnerships to strengthen national educational leadership and the capacity of countries to offer quality education for all.
Be aware of what’s going on in education through the calendar of events and UNESCO’s free e-newsletter. You can also join UNESCO’s action by spreading the word on education: send an e-card!

because humanity can only survive if it's population is educated. the children of the world include real and potential geniuses who are prevented from the full devlopment of their powers. education also allows for maximization of the individual and a greater understanding of the world. anything that can promote this will benefit them as well as the world.

Because I believe that everyone should be allowed the choice to go to college even if they don't have the money. I know so many people who don't go to college because they have jack squat and can't afford it at all.
