My Grandma who use to be here on earth a couple of years ago had a garden full of every Vegetable you could think of. She fed the whole block plus my family. We only live around the corner from her, Well her house & yard now, But my family has kept her garden going. Me & My mom going over & tend to it everyday if not every other day. I miss getting out in my grandma's garden w/ her & picking what vegetables she was going to cook for lunch or dinner or walk Vegetables to the neighbors. Now it's me & my mom. My grandma also has an orange tree, Fig tree, & Lemon tree. They are still going as well .Oh & Banana tree

I have a very hearty city garden that feeds me and my family of three plus my parents and a few neighbors. Just tonight we enjoyed our very own homegrown zucchini, squash, eggplant and tomatoes out of the garden. It was delicious, the gardening, weeding and picking is itself is a family event and like I said we grow more than enough to go around!

There is so much available space to apply this to, to feed needy people, lots that are not commercially viable, just sitting there growing weeds.
