Ladies (and some men): Opt for safer cosmetics (or better yet, throw it all away!)

The Environmental Working Group pairs ingredients from conventional cosmetics with toxicity and regulatory databases. The result? You get to know what all those ten-syllable ingredients on your mascara tube really are.

Using this resource, change out at least a couple of your cosmetics for safer alternatives.

Or, chuck out anything that raises red flags on cosmeticdatabase.com. It will be much more than you would think. Yes, you can (and do!) look beautiful without make-up. If men don't have to wear than why should we?

A note to mothers: children are especially sensitive, so avoiding cosmetics for their sake is an excellent idea.
