Mission
AFA functions on the premise that animals do not exist for humans to eat, wear, experiment on, or use for entertainment. Since animals are horribly exploited, we must raise awareness of their suffering, inspire others to not support it, and work for an end to cruelty towards animals.
Programs
AFA places an emphasis on educational outreach. Each person who adopts a vegan diet saves the lives of an estimated 100 animals per year, which gives great value to getting information to people that will help them to make and stay loyal to this change. Realizing this, AFA works locally to distribute information throughout Seattle and at special events, and does more widespread outreach by having a booth on tours, sending out requested vegan starter packs, and networking with activists throughout the country.
